ACCREDITATION

Masharps College (‘Masharps’) is fully accredited by the LGSETA (Local Government Sector Education and Training Authority) to provide full qualifications and related training that pertains to effective and efficient administration of municipalities. This comes after a thorough analysis and evaluation of the Masharps learning programmes by National Treasury and the LGSETA, which came to a conclusion that through Masharps programmes, our municipalities will be provided with the necessary skills, competencies and tools to ensure:

effective internal controls
proper planning and budgeting

COMPUTER STUDIES

For computer studies, Masharps College is accredited with ICDL SA for the training and testing of students on the International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL) courses.

Masharps is fully compliant with the BB-BEE legislation and related regulations.

GOVERNANCE

Masharps is registered in terms of the Companies Act and complies with all the governance requirements of the Act and King III.

The Board provides the overall oversight and strategic direction of the college. The board is supported by the College Council and the Executive Committee of the college.

The College Council provides guidance on the programme structure and content, while the Executive Committee is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the college, including but not limited to, student matters, finance, marketing, liaison, stakeholder relations and so forth.
